At the Carol H. Taylor Breast Health Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester, we provide a wide range of breast imaging and biopsy services in a beautiful, relaxing spa-like environment. The Center is staffed by NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center radiologists and trained technologists. With an award-winning team, convenient hours, and the latest screening and diagnostic technologies, our Center is one of Westchester County’s most popular choices for breast care. In fact, we received a Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best Breast Centers, chosen by patients and physicians for our exemplary care.

Breast Imaging Center of Excellence

The Carol H. Taylor Breast Health Center has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and a Pink Ribbon Facility, recognized for providing excellence in breast health along with exceptional commitment and support to the women in our community. It is now one of only a handful of Centers of Excellence in women’s imaging in all of Westchester County. Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence have earned accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound (including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy).

National Accreditation

Our Center has also been granted a three-year full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. Accreditation by the NAPBC is given only to centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance.

A Supportive Experience

We understand that having breast imaging and waiting for your test results may make you feel anxious, so we designed the Center with your comfort and convenience in mind. Located near the Hospital’s main entrance, the separate and spacious Carol H. Taylor Breast Health Center is decorated with selected works of art and soothing colors. Dressing rooms with lockers and plush robes help make your visit more comfortable. For privacy, patients can relax in a gowned waiting area while they prepare for a screening exam or procedure. Our goal is to provide an enhanced experience during your breast imaging visit and, in most cases, offer you direct access to your radiologist and imaging findings before you leave the Center.

Information for New Patients

If you are new to our Center and have had breast screening performed elsewhere, kindly request your screening images on a disk from your provider and bring it to your first scheduled appointment. It is helpful for our radiologists to compare your current scan with prior images.

About Carol H. Taylor

The Breast Health Center is named in memory of Carol H. Taylor, a well-loved, long-time resident of Bronxville who was treated at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester twice in her lifetime for breast cancer, as well as colon cancer. Her family chose to honor her kindness and love for her family and friends by supporting the establishment of a state-of-the-art breast health center that would benefit other women in the community.
