COURSE SUMMARY 


This half-day CME course is designed to educate pediatric endocrinologists, pediatricians, nurse practitioners, residents, fellows and other allied health professionals on recent developments in pediatric endocrinology. This year's course focuses on four topics:

  • Timing of normal puberty and disorders that present with delayed puberty.
  • Vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency in children and appropriate management.
  • Long term safety of growth hormone therapy in childhood.
  • Development of type 2 diabetes in the obese adolescents.

Disease outcomes and current controversies on management will be discussed. The course will include index case presentations and a panel discussion.
