The Pediatric Rheumatology Service at Hospital for Special Surgery, an affiliate of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System and Weill Cornell Medical College, provides complex and comprehensive diagnostic services for children with rheumatic diseases and related conditions. Virtually every medicine that is used by the adult rheumatologist – in the appropriate child, with very careful monitoring – is now used by these experienced pediatric rheumatologists with excellent outcomes. With new biologic therapies, many of them tested at Hospital for Special Surgery, along with physical therapy, the disease can be controlled and children can regain normal function.
The Pediatric Rheumatology Service provides pediatric rheumatology care for the NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children’s Health/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
