Our Mission

The NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children’s Health at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center – together with Weill Cornell Medical College – is committed to improving the health of infants, children, and adolescents through high quality and comprehensive programs in patient care, medical education, scientific research, and child and family advocacy. At the Komansky Center for Children’s Health, an important focus of our mission is providing outstanding medical care in a family-centered environment. Family-centered care is an approach in which families, doctors, nurses and hospital staff partner together, maintaining open communication and recognizing the individual strengths and expertise each person brings to a child’s care.
