Kids are entirely unique

So when it comes to the illnesses that afflict them, we believe their treatment has to be just as unique. After all, they aren’t simply small adults. Their bodies are still growing and developing. And the way they experience and express illness is all their own. Which means they need specially trained physicians, nurses, and therapists to read between the lines to truly understand how to help them get better.

But it isn’t enough to just treat the child. For each of these kids, there are parents and siblings whose lives are so deeply affected. So we help you understand the procedures, give you much-needed emotional support, and create a plan where everyone is involved in taking care of the patient. At NewYork-Presbyterian there is nothing we won’t do to help your child get better so your whole family can be well.
