Pharmacy

Student rotations at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital are designed to provide pharmacy students in various stages of their pharmacy education with exciting opportunities to learn firsthand from clinical and management specialists. The rotational programs will enable the students to put knowledge into practice while maturing the technical and clinical skills required as clinicians.

The Department is currently partnered with various schools in the New York metropolitan area. We welcome motivated students that are enthusiastic about learning in a high paced, challenging environment. We do not offer student rotations outside of these partnerships.

Description of Program Goals

The students involved in the rotational programs must complete required and elective rotations as specified in the service agreement between their academic institution and the Hospital. The student pharmacy practice experience will provide exposure to:

  • Counseling, Education and Presentations
  • Drug/Disease Knowledge of Drugs/Disease States
  • Medication Order Processing
  • Practice Systems and Management
  • Professional Involvement in Professional Organizations and Community Service
  • Project Management
