Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Support and Outreach

NewYork-Presbyterian's facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons donate their skills by participating in international outreach efforts to repair cleft lip and cleft palate in children in medically underserved areas. For example, members of NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center's Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology participate in medical missions to Honduras to deliver cutting-edge clinical care and teach physicians advanced reconstructive techniques. Our surgeons understand the importance of this surgery to patients and their families, and are honored to provide it in areas of the world where such surgical care is hard to find and afford.

In addition, while recognized to be on the forefront of congenital, oncologic, and traumatic facial reconstruction, we consistently try to facilitate the care of those patients in greatest need both locally and abroad.
