OVERVIEW
Annual salary is $80K plus a superior benefits package
– including 5 weeks of paid vacation, tuition reimbursement
for yourself and your children (if applicable), and outstanding
dental and health coverage.
We are looking for a full-time, PMI-certified Web Project Manager
with extensive experience building and managing top-caliber web sites and software applications. Candidates must be able manage 30+ projects simultaneously with dozens of clients,
content contributors/approvers, designers, and developers. An extensive and successful client relations
background in consulting, negotiating, and scheduling projects is needed.
Applicants must have 5+ years of experience as well as outstanding
documentation of their project management plans and processes. Familiarity with enterprise Content Management
Systems (CMS) such as Fatwire's
Content Server – as well as Web technologies like HTML, CSS, Java, JSP, UNIX, CGI,
and Oracle – is highly recommended.
The Project Manager (PM) serves as one of the primary architects
for the Internet presence of both NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital
and Weill Medical College of Cornell University. There are 10
major service line Web sites as part of the Hospital and 20
major basic science/patient care department sites as part of
Weill Cornell Medical College. The PM will interact with dozens
of physicians, scientists, and staff members throughout these
two prestigious medical institutions.
The PM is part of a core Web Group composed of a design manager, 2 senior designers, 3 junior designers, freelancers, 5 application developers, content developers, a software manager,
and the division head. The Web Group is part of the Weill
Cornell Office of Academic Computing -- which has over 100 IT
employees working in user support, networking, server management,
and UNIX administration. Our ultimate goal is to advance the
state of patient care, education, and medical research through
the innovative use of new technologies.
