August 2017

AMAZING THINGS ARE HAPPENING HERENewYork-Presbyterian retained its title of best hospital in New York City for the seventeeth straight year, according to U.S. News and World Report, as well as #8 in the nation.

The publication's Best Hospitals listing for 2017 placed NYP among the top in nation for many specialties, including #3 for Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery plus Rheumatology, #4 for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Nephrology, and Psychiatry, and #5 for Diabetes and Endocrinology. NYP was also ranked #14 in the nation for Gastroenterology and GI Surgery, the leading focus of the Center for Advanced Digestive Care.

These rankings also come on the heels of U.S News and World Report's Best Children's Hospitals rankings, where NYP ranked in the top 10 for all 10 specialties studied in a pediatric context, including Pediatric Gastroenterology & GI Surgery.

U.S. News develops its rankings using a wide range of criteria, including outcomes data, range of available services, advanced technologies, best practices, and a physician-to-physician reputation component pulled in part from the Doximity digital professional network.
