Surgical Waiting Room Liaison

Provide a bridge over troubled waters

Anyone who has had a loved one undergo a surgical procedure knows how long and stressful the wait can feel. Time seems to stand still for family members and caregivers as they wait for information, often feeling anxious and powerless. As a Surgical Waiting Room Liaison, you will offer compassion, care and useful information to caregivers and be a calm presence in the surgical waiting area. You will provide an empathetic ear, updates on logistical progress via the patient tracking screen, resolve non-medical concerns and problem solve and advocate on the caregivers' behalf.

We would love to hear from you if you are: organized, professional, calm, compassionate, have a positive attitude, a good communicator

Minimum commitment: One four-hour shift per week

Times: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
