Start a Conversation. Change a life.As a Step by Step volunteer at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, you will foster one on one health literacy skills by teaching and empowering parents to recognize and track key developmental childhood milestones. You will make the most of pediatric clinic wait time by introducing child development charts and paving the way for important parent discussions with healthcare professionals. These small waiting room conversations can help identify big developmental issues and set families on the road to early intervention as needed.

Minimum commitment: One four-hour shift per week
Times: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
