Patient Library Volunteer
Deliver an adventure, create some mystery.
NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital library volunteers brighten patients' days by offering print reading materials and activities that entertain, inform and distract from long days in a Hospital room. Whether it's a travel journal or a classic novel, you can help provide diversion with a good read and friendly conversation. You will bring books, crossword and sudoku puzzles, and magazines for patients to enjoy and keep. You will make recommendations on reading material and respond to requests from specific patients. You will assist in organizing reading material in the patient library for efficient and comfortable access.

Minimum commitment: One two-hour shift a week for a minimum of six months.
Available Times: Seven days a week, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
