Maternal-Child Health Ambassador

As a volunteer Maternal/Child Health Ambassador you can help enhance a family’s overall experience during their baby’s earliest days by providing compassion, care, support, and engagement for patients and their families on the Mother\Baby, Labor and Delivery, and Antepartum Units.
Maternal/Child Health Ambassadors help educate patients and caregivers about Hospital resources to create best possible experience for patients. You will maintain a cheerful, welcoming presence on the unit and provide direction and escort to visitors and patients as necessary. You will make rounds to provide support and comfort to patients on a regular basis.
We would love to hear from you if you are a nursing student who is patient, calm, nurturing, comfortable and experienced around babies, and a positive and effective communicator.
Minimum Commitment: Two four-hour shifts per week for six months
Times: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
