Why Choose Us

Advanced, personalized treatments

If you or a loved one has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor, you want the best care from a team that offers the latest therapies and clinical trials of promising new treatments. The Weill Cornell Medicine Meyer Cancer Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital provides comprehensive care for people with primary and metastatic brain tumors (cancer that spreads to the brain from other parts of the body).

Our multidisciplinary brain tumor team creates a personalized treatment plan for you, carefully considering your tumor type, size, and location, as well as your age and overall physical health. We treat brain tumors such as meningioma, glioblastoma, astrocytoma, low-grade glioma, ependymoma, vestibular schwannoma, and pituitary tumors using minimally invasive neurosurgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.

We lead and participate in clinical trials for new therapies and innovative ways to treat brain cancers. Researchers are assessing investigational therapies, such as targeted therapies and treatments, which harness the power of the immune system to fight cancer (immunotherapy). If you're interested in enrolling in a clinical trial, your doctor can help determine if you're eligible to participate.
