Our hepatobiliary cancer team provides the full range of therapies for people with liver, pancreatic, and bile duct cancers of all stages. We have expertise in advanced interventional endoscopic procedures, minimally invasive surgery (include robotic approaches), and complex operations like the Whipple procedure. We also offer the latest chemotherapies and immunotherapies, targeted therapies for tumors with certain genetic features, and precisely focused radiation therapy — all in one medical center.
As part of an academic medical center, we participate in clinical trials for hepatobiliary cancers. These studies offer you access to investigational therapies that show promise for fighting your cancer. Our Team
Your expert care team
Our hepatobiliary cancer treatment team includes gastroenterologists, hepatobiliary surgeons with subspecialty training, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, interventional radiologists, and other specialists who care for people with liver, pancreatic, and bile duct cancers. Your team meets regularly at a multidisciplinary Tumor Board to discuss each patient, combining their expertise to tailor a plan of care based on the type, location, and stage of your cancer, as well as your age, physical health, and personal preferences. Nutritionists, social workers, and palliative care specialists are also part of your team, ensuring that your dietary and psychosocial needs and comfort receive attention, too. Our doctors are also on the cancer care team at Weill Cornell Medicine.
