At The Allen Hospital, anesthesiologists work with obstetricians and certified nurse midwives to address each patient's desired level of pain control. We offer a full range of anesthesia services including both traditional epidurals and more recent innovations such as combined spinal/epidural techniques, and spinal opioids for post-Cesarean section pain. Epidural services are provided only at the request of the patient and her obstetrical caregiver.
All physicians at The Allen Hospital are also on the staff of New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. In addition, each of our physicians is a member of the highly regarded ColumbiaDoctors faculty practice. This means that patients experience the level of exceptional care expected from NewYork-Presbyterian in a personal and accessible environment.
