Advancing the Health Care of Our Community

At the Center for Family and Community Medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, our goal is to enhance the health of our community through education, service, research, and academic-community partnerships.

  • Residency and Fellowship Programs: Through our residency and research fellowship programs, we train competent and compassionate physicians who are dedicated to promoting health and relieving suffering in concert with our patients, their families, and their communities.
  • Quality Health Care for Our Community: We provide excellent health care to our patients in their communities, particularly those in medically underserved urban settings.
  • Leaders in Community Health Research: Our investigators conduct applied research that enhances both our service and teaching programs, while addressing unmet healthcare needs in the communities we serve.
  • Collaborating with Our Partners: Through education and advocacy, we partner with other organizations to reduce disparities in healthcare access among residents of northern Manhattan and the Bronx.
